The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson has interacted with international undergraduate and postgraduate students in South Dakota State University.
This forms part of the official visit of Prof. Dickson to the university. Drawn from different countries including Ghana, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Liberia among others, the students shared their experiences, challenges, the things they enjoyed about the school, the opportunities available etc. They also wanted to learn more about KNUST and opportunities available for student exchange visits.
The Vice Chancellor encouraged the students to be focused, determined, persevere, and always have the development of the continent of Africa as their goal. She added that this generation is the human resource being prepared to take over the leadership in Africa and hence they must not make it pass. She talked about the importance of networking and asked that they make good friends whilst on campus.
Other members of the Vice Chancellor’s delegation were Mr. Andrews Kwasi Boateng, the Registrar; Mr. Yaw Nimo-Baffour, Finance Officer, Prof. Daniel Y. A. Duah, Dean, International Programmes Office, and Mr. James Kwasi Oberko, Senior Assistant Registrar, Advancement and Alumni Relations Office.
