2021 School reopening: KNUST announces safe arrival package for students

SLTF pays GH¢1m for indebted KNUST deferred students

The Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as part of efforts to ensure students arrive safely on campus from Saturday 9th January has announced a safe arrival package.

According to KNUST, transport will be available to pick students from Tech junction to the various Halls and Hostels as well as Services of commercial transports with KNUST stickers for a fee of fixed GHC 10.00.

The Management has also arranged for the Police, KNUST security and Students Cadet Corp to be available at vantage points to assist students and ensure their safety and that of their luggage.

“Students who do not have accommodation and students who are unable to locate their hostels may visit the Office of the Dean of student for assistance”, KNUST said in a communique sighted by Educationweb.com.gh.

The Kumasi-based school despite the safe arrival package entreats students to observe the necessary COVID-19 protocols like wearing a face mask and using hand sanitiser to slow a possible spread of the novel coronavirus.
