Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence (GI-KACE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on October 26, 2022 to cooperate in the area of information communication and technology research, projects, and staff and student exchanges.

The GI-KACE delegation was led by Dr. Collins Yeboah-Afari, the Director General and an alumnus of KNUST, Mr. Frederick Yeboah, Director of Research and Innovation and Afia Kobi Hemaa Osisiadan-Bekoe, Director of Corporate Affairs and Media Relations.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson stressed the importance of academia-industry collaboration and its mutual benefits to both parties. She encouraged both sides to operationalize the contents of the MOU in order to derive the much needed impact.
The Director General, Dr. Collins Yeboah-Afari expressed his delight at this partnership and looked forward to a fruitful relationship.
Earlier, the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Ahmed provided a brief historic overview of the relationship and how the partnership would inure to the benefit of both parties.
Present was Prof. Daniel Duah, the Dean of International Programmes Office and Mr. David Gameli, Inbound Student Officer at IPO.
