The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) through the SONSOL project has presented 593 brand new laptops worth GH¢ 2,965,000.00 to brilliant but needy students of the university.
The donation of the state the art laptops held on February 25, 2021, is in fulfilment of the KNUST Vice-Chancellor, Prof Rita Akosua Dickson vision to support one Needy Student with One Laptop’ dubbed ‘SONSOL’ Project.
KNUST Students’ Representative Council (SRC) President, Mr Samuel Sesah on behalf of the brilliant but needy students commended Professor Dickson and the partners of the project for imagining the SONSOL Project.
He also thanked the donors for the laptops given to the students and promised on behalf of the students to keep the computers in good shape and utilize them for its intended purpose.
Mr Samuel Sesah on behalf of the SRC leadership also pledged to support the one needy student with one laptop initiative with 50 laptops.
