Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) formerly Keta Secondary School after several rounds in the semi-final stage of the ongoing National Science & Maths Quiz has qualified to compete in the final stage of the contest.
Their Semi-final win to the finale stage has made them the first Senior High School (SHS) from the Volta Region to reach the grand finale of the most popular National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competition in 2021.
The Volta-Region-based school in their group beat their contenders Wesley Girls’ High School and Tamale SHS. They after the final round scored 53 points whiles Wesley Girls’ HigH and Tamale SHS scored 35 and 31 points respectively.
Keta Senior High School will be competing in the grand final of the Science and Mathematics quiz scheduled for November 26, 2021 with Accra-based Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and Kumasi-based Prempeh College.
The Senior High Technical School has a student population of about 3,515 and a teaching staff strength of 150 as of 2020. Keta SHTS is the biggest school in the Volta Region and one of the biggest in the country.
The grand final stage of the popular television Science and Maths quiz programme has been scheduled for Friday, November 26, 2021, at the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
