Jonathan Dzunu elected TTAG national President with 98 votes

Jonathan Dzunu with 98 votes cast representing 38.43% has been elected as the National President to lead the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG), the Ghana Teachers Association declared on Monday, January 10, 2022.

According to the TTAG 2022 election results sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh, Dzunu Jonathan’s contender’s Abaidoo Felix garnered 81 votes representing 31.76% and Sarfo Adu John with 76 votes representing 29.80%.

The Association after launching its official website https://ttag.org has said it will at the appropriate time launch a mobile application for students in all the 46 public Colleges of Education (CoE) across the country.

TTAG leadership as Colleges of Education level 100 and 300 prospective students return to their various campuses to commence academic activities for the 2021/2022 academic year has wished them a fruitful semester.

In a related story, the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has denied claims that the reopening date for Colleges of Education level 100 and 300 students has been postponed amid CETAG strike action.

It in a statement copied to EducationWeb said January 8, 2022, slated as the reopening date for the fresh and continuing College students still holds for the commencement of the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

“Students are to take note and disregard any release whatsoever on the postponement of the reopening date since the Colleges of Education strike does not in any way affect the earlier reopening arrangement,” PRINCOF stated.

The Conference however said Management of the public 46 Colleges of Education will officially communicate to prospective students when the need be for postponement of academic activities due to the ongoing industrial action.

“We also entreat students to adhere to this notice and make necessary preparations to report back to school. We would like to use this opportunity to wish students a fruitful semester,” the Conference of Principals said on Sunday.
