The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed students in various public Junior High Schools (JHSs) will return to school on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, to commence academic work for the second semester of 2021.
In a statement copied to EducationWeb.com.gh, the Education Service said it has not postponed the reopening date to Tuesday, July 13, 2021, as widely circulated on social media and published by some online news portals.
“We have not postponed the JHS students reopening date, the reopening date still remains Tuesday, July 6, 2021, as earlier communicated to the public,” a staff of the Service told EducationWeb on Friday.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has consequently urged members of the general public to disregard any new date concerning the public Junior High School students school reopening for the 2021 academic year.
Students and teachers as they return to continue academic activities have also been encouraged to strictly adhere to the safety Covid-19 protocols outlined by the Ghana Health Service including wearing of face mask.
