The leadership of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) Monday, August 2, 2021, presented 280 tablets and 40 brand new core i7 laptops to the Management of Janet Educational Complex in Greater Kumasi.
The educational tablets and laptops the Private Schools Council has said are to enhance the technological structures of the school as part of the Ghana National Council of Private School’s vision for private schools in the country.
Speaking in an interview with EducationWeb.com.gh the Communications Director for the Council, Mr Nyamekye said the Kumasi-based Janet Educational Complex applied for 200 tablets and 40 laptops but were given 280 tablets.
“Launched on Monday, August 2, 2021, 1 million educational tablets and 200,000 brand new core i7 laptops will be distributed to students and teachers in private schools across the country,” Mr Samuel Nyamekye stated.
According to him, the project is aimed at distributing 1 million tablets and 200,000 state of the art brand new i7 laptops with routers to private schools students and teachers across the country for them to pay over 36 months.
“Installed on the educational tablets to be provided to the various private schools are global education platforms such as CISCO, Facebook, Google Academy,” the GNACOPS spokesperson told EducationWeb’s Okyere Darko George.
The nationwide WiFi connectivity in private education the Communications Director for the Private Schools Council noted is a major significant change to bring greater heights in the country’s educational system.
“GNACOPS is in partnership with Celtel Networks Limited and P2S Ghana limited to provide internet connectivity with the highest speed to all private schools and teachers in Ghana to boost educational delivery,” Mr Samuel said
