The Italian Ambassador to Ghana, Daniela d’Orlandi has disclosed her government in due course will establish an Italian language centre at UPSA to foster cross-cultural cooperation between Ghanaian and Italian students.
Her Excellency Daniela d’Orlandi made the announcement when she paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Accra, Prof. Abednego F. O. Amartey at his office on Friday.
She told Prof. Abednego the Italian government is also looking forward to working together with the University in the fields of education, training and youth empowerment through exchange programmes.
“We will support the construction of an Italian Centre of Excellence to promote practical education and joint research between UPSA and Italian universities,” Madam d’Orlandi told the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA.
The V.C reacting to the establishment of the Italian language centre said UPSA and the Italian embassy have enjoyed a cordial relationship over the past few years and he hoped the relationship will be taken a notch higher.
