Ho Technical University bans politically branded materials at lectures

The Management of the Ho Technical University (HTU) has warned students to refrain from attending lectures and other gatherings on campus with materials of NPP, NDC or of any other political party in the country.

Prof. Ben Honyenuga, the Vice-Chancellor of HTU in his address at the university’s 28th Matriculation Ceremony on Thursday said this is to maintain the reputation of decency and respect on his outfit and students.

Commenting on how students of the Ho Technical University (HTU) should dress on campus and in lecture halls, the Vice-Chancellor announced for lecturers to sack any student improperly dressed or outfit they see not fit.

“The HTU required students to dress suitably at all times, and also we do not permit politically branded materials at lectures and official functions”

“Fighting or any form of physical assault, stealing, noise-making, use of drugs and alcohol are prohibited in the University.

“It will therefore be in your interest to distance yourselves from all forms of destructive behaviours such as sexual assault, occultism, rape, waywardness, homosexuality, provocative dressing and a host of other social vices that have gained notoriety among students of today.
