Candidates who sat for 2020 Nov/Dec and are for some reasons not satisfied with their WAEC result can appeal to WAEC 60 days after the release of the provisional results for a review, a staff of the Examination Body has said.
A WAEC official in an interview monitored by Educationweb.com.gh said the Council has a system in place for a candidate not satisfied with the WAEC result to make an appeal 2 months after the results are released.
“Every candidate has the right to appeal if for some reasons not satisfied with the results, that is available for any candidate,” he told host Winifred.
Mr George indicated that candidates are to make the appeal only at the nearest office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and not through any third party or individual who claims to be a staff of the Council
He commenting on claims that WAEC intentionally fail candidates for them to sit for Nov/Dec said: “our existence is base on the conduct of an examination and we will under no circumstance fail or leak questions to candidates to tarnish our image, our processes are fair and transparent”.
According to him, the non-profit-making organization is never interested in any candidates failure as candidates in the country claim their failure is the success of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
