Heads of Senior High Schools are expected to return to school today Thursday, March 11 after they were given mid-semester break to prepare and welcome the Form 1 SHS students reporting to school on March 18.
The resumption comes after the Ghana Education Service (GES) approved for the Management of Senior High Schools (SHS) in the country to go on a mid-semester break from March 8, 2021 to Thursday, March 11, 2021.
GES in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh said the semester break was to allow the Management of secondary schools prepare to welcome the first-year SHS students after their reporting date was postponed.
It in the statement indicated that the 4th batch of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) beneficiaries will report to school on March 18, 2021, and not 10th March as indicated on the school placement enrollment form.
The new school reopening date GES said will enable the SHS 1 students to have ample time to prepare for teaching and learning for the academic year
“Academic activities for this academic year will commence fully on Monday, March 22, 2021, for the Form 1 SHS students,” the Education Service stated.
