  1. This teaching opportunity has been there in the UK and the even US for so long. There are agencies like UCAS in the UK that have been recruiting qualified teachers in various specialisations for some schools in the UK.

That does mean that the UK is in need of teachers, therefore they seek assistance from Ghana. That opportunity is for all commonwealth countries, but they recruit based on the available subjects such as Maths, Science, and Creative Arts. Also, there are similar institutions in the US that recruit teachers for some schools.

I wonder why this government has been boasting itself of everything. What kind of good teachers do we have in this country? Why not teachers at the basic school but SHS? All that they need is a teacher with at least a first degree in a specialised subject.

How many Ghana teachers can embed their lessons with technology? Let’s stop this kind of hypocrisy! Because even if a country is proud of Ghanaian teachers, it will not be under the Akufo-Addo regime. Because it takes about ten years for a professional to become an expert.

It’s surprising that Ghana teachers with Diploma are spending a year to gain a first degree. A-four-yr programme is being pursued in a year. What kind of quality teachers are we producing?
