The calculators which the Education Ministry procured for last year’s WASSCE candidates but delayed amid COVID-19 according to Africa Education Watch have so far been distributed to about 400,000 students.

Executive Director of the Education Think Tank in a social media post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh said some Senior High Schools (SHS) are yet to receive their share of the prescribed WAEC examination calculator.

“Our checks in most SHS indicate calculators were distributed to the current SHS 3 students. That’s about 400,000 students. There are some schools yet to receive theirs,” Mr Kofi Asare stated in his post.

Meanwhile, the former Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said this year and later WASSCE candidates will benefit from the Nana Akufo-Addo government free mathematical sets and calculators.
