The Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) after a meeting with the National Union of Ghana Students has announced April 1, 2021, as the course registration deadline for the first semester in this academic year.
The meeting comes after the GIJ Management directed students who paid their school fees after the registration deadline to defer their programme, a decision the affected students registered disagreement with the Institute.
However, the GIJ after the negotiation with the Students Union has agreed for students who were not able to register their courses for the first semester of the academic year to do so from now until April 1, 2021.
According to the National Union of Ghana Students, GIJ examinations which were due to commence on March 29, 2021, have also been postponed to begin April 6, 2021, to ensure no student is left disadvantaged.
NUGS in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh has urged all students to comply by the new directive from the Management and complete all outstanding registration before the new course registration deadline date.
