Ghana’s Education Service (GES) as a word of caution has advised all new teachers who already have been posted to serve where service is needed in the country to refrain from what it described as re-posting.
GES caution comes after some unscrupulous individuals on social media who claim to be official of the Education Service requested that some posted teachers pay a certain amount of money to change their postings.
It in a statement sighted by Educationweb.com.gh has said this year’s postings were made to fill specifically declared vacancies from the schools through the Districts and Regions and therefore, no re-posting will be done.
“The recruitment processes at National, Regional and District levels do not involve payment of money and so no newly recruited staff should pay any money in relation to the processes to any officer”, GES added in the release.
The Service similarly has urged graduates who had completed National Service and passed teacher licensure but not posted to remain calm as it works tirelessly to release full postings at the appropriate time.
