GES commends teachers who sat for 2021 promotion exams

Ghana’s Education Service (GES) has congratulated the 46,273 staff of the service who sat for the 2021 February promotion examination for their comportment and discipline during the conduct of the test.

Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa, the Director-General of GES speaking on Peace 104.3 FM Kokrooko show monitored by Educationweb.com.gh said the 2nd and 2021 edition of the promotion examination went on smoothly.

He said aside from the 46,273 candidates there were other teachers even though qualified and due for promotion but could not participate in the test because they claim they did not receive their index number, centres.

But, according to the GES official, his outfit next week will announce a new date to conduct a supplementary promotion examination for such teachers who amid index number issues could not participate in the just ended test.

This year’s teacher’s promotion test commenced on Thursday February 25, 2021 and ended Friday February 26, 2021.
