Ghana’s Education Service (GES) has announced to commence this year’s SHS school selection sensitization for candidates who will sit for the 31st and 2021 edition of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
GES in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh said the SHS school selection sensitization and guidelines exercise will take place in all the respective Regional, District Education Directorate and Junior High Schools.
The Education Service indicated it will release Infographics, flyers and short videos in nine Ghanaian Languages about the process for the 2021 BECE candidates to better understand the SHS school selection exercise.
It also advised parents and guardians to take a keen interest in the selection of schools process to ensure a smooth SHS placement of the candidates.
“There would be an opportunity for candidates to text to a shortcode and confirm their school choices before actual placement is out,” GES stated.
The details of the SHS school selection shortcode according to the Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) will be made available to members of the general public at the appropriate time.
