Covid-19: Don’t go to school if you’re sick – NaSIA to students, staff

The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) following the sudden rise in Ghana’s coronavirus cases has said learners, teachers and any other staff who are sick or feel sick should not go to school.
NaSIA in a communique sighted by Educationweb.com.gh said school authorities should make sure sick students or staff stay home or visit the hospital for proper treatment before allowed to return to school.
“Learners, teachers and any other staff who are sick or feel sick should not come to school. All schools should ensure they stay home or visit the hospital for proper treatment,” it Authority stated in the communique.

The Schools Inspectorate Authority advice comes after 26 students and 3 teachers of the Eastern-Region-based Akosombo International School (AIS) tested positive for the virus that has claimed 440 lives as at Feb 5, 2021.
