“343,264 candidates have been placed in the various second-cycle schools (Automatic placement), they should expect the release of the placement February 28,” He told the host of UTV Mpu ne Mpu show Mrs Yaa Konama.

Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa in the interview said his outfit in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE) had solved all technical challenges to ensure a difficulty-free school placement of the BECE candidates on Sunday.

Mark Sasu Mensah, the National Coordinator of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) commenting on the much-awaited school placement assured that all BECE graduates will get placement.

According to him, there are a little over 500,000 SHS self-placement slots available because of the upgrades and the structure of the CSSPS system.

He advised that a candidate should access his or her self before selecting any available second-cycle school at the self-placement module.

“You might perform very well, but if you choose very competitive programmes, it becomes very difficult for you to get them. Parents should also ask themselves and their wards if the wards would be admitted to the schools that they are choosing,” he said as quoted by UniversNews.
