The University in a blogpost sighted by Educationweb.com.gh on its website said this forms part of efforts to support the government in the fight against the novel virus to ensure a safe school reopening from 9th January 2021.

“Students who opt to return to campus will have to take a COVID-19 test, funded by the university, before moving in”, Ashesi stated.

This comes after President Akufo-Addo on Sunday, January 3 in his 21st televised nation’s address monitored by Educationweb.com.gh announced the reopening dates for universities and other tertiary institutions.

“Students in universities and other tertiary institutions are to be in school from Saturday, 9th January”, His Excellency stated.
