Dr Adutwum denies 12.5% increment workers salary

Ghana’s Minister of Education designate, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has refuted claims indicating the central government in the coming days will increase government workers salary by 12.5 per cent including that of teachers.
His comment comes after an online news portal published he had said the Nana Akufo-Addo government in due course this year will increase the salary of government workers by 12.5 per cent, a report he has denied.
According to the news portal, the Bosomtwe Member of Parliament announced the workers salary increment speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Wontumi TV Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

The teaching Minister denying the claim in a social media post sighted by Educationweb.com.gh stated categorically that no such remark had been made by him on any platform, not even on the said Wontumi TV.
