ACity gets accreditation to offer degree in BSc Artificial Intelligence

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) after its 4th meeting has approved the Accra-based Academic City University College (Acity) to offer BSc Artificial Intelligence programme from July 12, 2021, to July 11 2024.

GTEC in a statement copied to EducationWeb.com.gh said “accreditation for Academic City University College to run BSc. Artificial Intelligence programme effective July 12, 2021, to July 11, 2024, has been granted.”

“Academic City University College should note that 1 year to the expiry of the stated period of accreditation, it should apply for renewal of accreditation of the programme,” the Commission added in the release.

The Acity Management announcing the approval on social media said courses including AI, Robotics and Biomedical will equip students of the university with the requisite hands-on practical training and education to be Future-ready.

“We are excited to announce that we have received approval from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission to offer a degree in BSc Artificial Intelligence,” the private University College announced on Tuesday.

Reacting to the 3-year accreditation of the BSc Artificial Intelligence, the academic institution said Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly changing the world and they are poised to explore its limitless potential and opportunities.
