The Management of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneur Development (AAMUSTED) has said it will on Monday, August 30, 2021, commence the end of the second-semester examinations.
AAMUSTED in a statement copied to EducationWeb.com.gh said the decision to conduct the examinations on August 30, 2021, follows the suspension of the industrial action of the University Teachers Associaton of Ghana (UTAG),
“Following the suspension of the strike action by the UTAG, the Executive Committee at its emergency meeting today, Friday decided that the End of 2nd Semester Examinations shall commence on Monday, 30th August 2021,” it stated.
According to the Akenten Appiah-Menka University Management, owners of private hostels have been engaged to extend students stay for free for four weeks amid the unexpected nationwide University teachers strike.
“All students are therefore entreated to take note of these arrangements and get themselves in readiness for the examinations,” the Authorities of the University of Skills Training and Entrepreneur Development said in the release.
In a related development, the Management of the University of Ghana, Legon (UG) has also announced to start the end of second-semester examination for level 100 and 400 students from Monday, August 25, 2021.
“The main examinations for the Second Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year (Level 100 and 400 batches) should resume from Wednesday, August 25th, 2021,” the Director of the Academic Affairs Directorate of UG said on Saturday.
