Josh Harris, full name Joshua Jordan Harriss is a philanthropist and private equity investor from the United States. He co-founded Apollo Global Management in 1990 with Leon Black and Marc Rowan and oversaw the majority of its day-to-day operations until leaving in 2022 to pursue other interests.

Harris was born in Chevy Chase, Maryland, in December 1964. Washington, DC’s The Field School was where he studied. Harris resigned from Apollo’s day-to-day operations in May 2021 and departed the firm in January 2022, owing to his concentration on his interests in sports clubs and a conflict that involved litigation with Apollo co-founder Leon Black.

Josh Harris is on the boards of the Wharton School of Business, the Harvard Business School, and the Mount Sinai Hospital. He also previously served on the boards of the United States Olympic Committee and Berry Global.
